Tiatros Inc. is dedicated to harnessing and integrating new technologies that allow doctors, patients, clinical researchers and families to collaborate in ways that improve the practice of medicine. Designed by field leaders in medicine, biomedical engineering, bioinformatics, clinical research and business, Tiatros® allows better healthcare to be delivered to more patients at a lower cost.
Tiatros Inc. was founded in 2010 by Joydip Homchowdhury and Kimberlie Cerrone in San Francisco, CA. Their mission began when a team of doctors, led by Dr. Kim Norman at the University of California at San Francisco, needed a way to coordinate mental healthcare for active duty soldiers serving in Iraq.
Kimberlie Cerrone has been an active Silicon Valley pioneer for nearly three decades, serving dozens of enterprises as an entrepreneur, executive, founder and attorney. Over the course of her career, she has developed an expertise in creating intellectual property portfolios; distribution, sales and licensing strategies; legal and financial systems; and early strategic, international, vendor and customer deals.
Kimberlie graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in biochemistry. She earned a Master of Science degree in biochemical pharmacology from New York University, an M.B.A. from the University of San Francisco, and a J.D. from Hastings College of the Law. She is licensed to practice law in California and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Joydip Homchowdhury is a seasoned IT leader and entrepreneur with over 20 years’ experience building Internet startups, management consulting for Fortune 500 companies, and establishing and managing global IT delivery centers. He has held senior engineering management positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Dell, and most recently a senior Healthcare IT innovation position at Johnson & Johnson Healthcare. He has also owned and operated two Internet businesses.
The Tiatros solution originated from Joy's volunteer efforts with the UCSF Telehealth Group and Department of Psychiatry to develop a telepsychiatry platform to provide consultations for soldiers deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan suffering from Post Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury, and suicidal ideation.
Joy has an undergraduate degree in Physics with Computer Science and a M.B.A. from University of Calcutta, India.
